How to find a Lawn Valve
Chat-R-Box® Pro Are you tired of aimlessly searching for your hidden lawn valves? You've tried digging holes in the yard and poked the ground with a screw driver.? Googled for a solution only to find expensive valve locator equipment? Unable to find a 'pro' that would charge a reasonable price? At last, a simple device for locating those pesky hidden lawn valves. Just connect the Pro  model between the controller and the valve wire of the valve you are trying to locate. When you turn on the valve then the Chat-R-Box® Pro LED lights and causes the valve to emit a "clicking" sound. Then merely search the ar allowing you to locate the valve. The Pro model incorporates an advance solid state circuit which rapidly turns the valve off/on 3-5 times per second creating a distintive "click" sound. The Pro version uses a simple 2 wire hookup and relies on the power of your controller, eliminating the need for batteries. The Chat-R-Box® was invented by me (Kip) in 2013 and now I have introduced a more powerful model that works on all lawn valves .  The Chat-R-Box® Pro will save you hundreds of dollars and countless hours. Get yours now! The Chat-R-Box® works on all 24 v.a.c. lawn valves. The  Chat-R-Box® Pro  works on many brands of valves including, Rainbird, Orbit, Hunter and Irritoll. The above video starts at 6 feet and the valve is under 2 inches of sod. How it works: The Chat-R-Box® Pro is powered by the same 24 VAC your irriation controller uses to operate your zone valves. The Pro will not damage the valve's solenoids because the 24 VAC is intermittently applied. The valve operates on a solenoid, which has a small metal rod encased in a spool of thin wire. When the power is applied the solenoid acts like an electro magnet and pulses the metal rod and emits a clicking sound of 5 clicks per second. Limitations: The solenoid uses 24 VAC (not DC valves which is not very common) and the solenoids must be working (shorted or open solenoids while not click). Since you are relying on your ears to hear the clicks, background noise and the depth of the solenoid can muffle the "clicks".  It is best to practice with a known valve location first and perform your testing during the queitest time of day and Iearly morinings is the best time. Included I include a simple step by step instruction and a diagram for connecting your valve. There is a tech support number included in the instructions for you to call if you don't get any results withing 15-20 minutes. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and quick shipping First Class Mail or Priority Mail.
